"A History of Violence" screenwriter comments on peer review

Maybe since the deadline for this week has passed this post will not be completely lost in the wave of posts that occurs each Wednesday.

Josh Olson has written a fairly scathing piece for the Village Voice called I Will Not Read Your Fucking Script. The attitude of a professional writer on peer review is of particular interest to anyone participating in such activity in pursuit of their writing degree, and highlights an inevitable dilemma of asking someone else to critique your work.

I found the piece an elucidating expose on the phenomenon of "brutal honesty" and it's place in polite society. Hopefully some of you will find it interesting.
