REVISION....

Writing dialogue is a challenge for me. So when it comes time to revise my work, I often find myself frustrated because I can’t pin down the character’s “voice”. A method of revision that I am currently attempting is one a substitute instructor (in one of my other classes) suggested. Basically, I am writing down my rants (opinions, thoughts, etc), then assigning the dialogue to each character. After, I’m butchering my sentences so that they’re not so neat. I just started editing a few days ago, so I really can’t verify how effective it is, but hopefully it continues to help me tackle dialogue. In the project I’m working on, it has been working well.
